Covid-19: Here's Latest Number Of Fatalities, Breakdown Of Cases By Town In Dutchess

There have been seven new deaths tied to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Dutchess County, bringing the total to 26 since the outbreak began.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Dutchess topped 2,000 for the first time, with the total rising to 2,044 with 92 still hospitalized with the virus. The Department of Health is currently monitoring 1,804 active cases, as 214 patients have been treated and discharged from hospitals.

A breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Dutchess County as of noon on Friday, April 17, according to the Department of Health:

  • Poughkeepsie: 234;
  • Poughkeepsie City: 212;
  • Fishkill: 160;
  • East Fishkill: 142;
  • Wappinger: 139;
  • LaGrange: 103;
  • Beacon City: 97;
  • Beekman: 80;
  • Hyde Park: 71;
  • Rhinebeck: 38;
  • Union Vale: 39;
  • Pleasant Valley: 37;
  • Wappingers Falls Village: 36;
  • Dover: 34;
  • Pawling: 21;
  • Red Hook: 18;
  • Clinton: 15;
  • Amenia: 13;
  • Washington: 10.
  • Rhinebeck Village: 9
  • Milan: 7;
  • Pine Plains: 7;
  • Stanford: 6

There have been less than five cases reported in the Villages of Fishkill, Millbrook, Millerton, Pawling, Red Hook, Tivoli, and North East.

As of Friday, April 17, there have been 222,284 confirmed COVID-19 cases in New York State, including. Since the outbreak began, 12,199 New Yorkers have died from the virus, though the hospitalization rate and infection rates have been dropping in recent days.
